All workers unite in Canada! The Canadian government is now accepting applications to their New, Revised Canadian FSWP (Federal Skilled Worker Program). Canada’s number-one priority is jobs for all, economic growth and long-term prosperity. The FSWP was put into place for this reason, and so thatCanada can select the immigrant workers most needed by their economy, and who are best positioned for success. The goal of the new FSWP criteria is to improve economic outcomes by accepting immigrants who will be able to integrate more easily and successfully into Canada’s culture and economy. Some of the skills and experience the Canadian government is looking for include:
- 0211 Engineering managers
- 1112 Financial and investment analysts
- 2113 Geoscientists and oceanographers
- 2131 Civil engineers

In years past, the application process for the FSWP was long and cumbersome, with up to a 15-year wait time! But with the enactment of the Faster Immigration and Economic Action Plan 2012, the backlog of applications for the FSWP has been nearly eliminated, and new applications are being processed within one year! So it is “smooth sailing ahead” for skilled workers who want to work in Canada!
