Good News! A Labor Shortage In Canada Makes It Easier Than Ever To Immigrate

Unhappy times for Canada, but good times for you!  There is a labor shortage in Canada, which is good news for highly skilled, temporary workers in Dubai and the UAE looking for work in Canada.  Employers in Canada, and especially in the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewanare looking for temporary skilled workers to fill job openings.  Because of the labor shortage many Canadian companies are leveraging Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) Program, and bringing in qualified workers from overseas. The initiative is aimed at highly paid jobs in high-skill fields. These include construction workers, engineers, computer specialists, live-in caregivers, healthcare professionals and more.

The ins and outs of Canada’s TFW Program can be difficult to negotiate so you will likely need assistance when applying. You will need to apply for a temporary work permit for Canada for most temporary jobs. How you apply and how long it will take to process your application will depend on the kind of work you will be doing.

Keep in mind that a temporary work permit will not let you live in Canada permanently. To do this you must qualify and apply under an immigration category as a permanent resident.  However, if you are a live-in caretaker who meets specific requirements, you can apply to stay in Canada as a permanent resident.  Plus your spouse, common-law partner and dependents under 19 years of age can also come to Canada with you.  So why not look for a temporary position in Canada.  It will give you, and even your family, an opportunity to temporarily live in Canada and see how others work and live.  Plus, you may even teach the Canadians some new skills—they are hoping you will!
